Center for Outcomes Research

JPS Landscape

The Center for Outcomes Research (COR) was established in December 2016 with the goal of generating evidence that informs decision-making and optimizes health outcomes, particularly for populations that experience substantial barriers to care and health inequalities. Outcomes research is multidisciplinary and capitalizes on the vast availability of health data such as disease registries and administrative databases to address questions about access, effectiveness, patient preferences, and quality of care. This research helps patients, healthcare providers, healthcare organizations, and policymakers make evidence-based decisions.

COR investigators engage in collaborative projects that draw on expertise from clinical specialties, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health policy, and health education. Research areas currently include cancer, hepatitis C virus, and HIV. Themes in our growing portfolio include:

  • Pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance
  • Lifestyle factors and comorbidities
  • Quality of care
